I always find palaces and McDonald’s…

Uber has really been helping us out on this trip! We grabbed an Uber to the Museo Antropologia to see the Aztec calendar stone. It is quite massive and you feel so small just standing underneath it.

The museum has a lot of cool exhibits and these are the kind of museums I prefer to go to. It is a very large museum so we only did the first floor and that was at a quick pace.

After the Museum, we wandered through the massive Chapultepec Park. This thing has vendors upon vendors, a lake and even a Castillo. Must be the Spanish royal blood in me that is drawn to royal places – well at least that’s what Mom tells us; we are descendants from some Spanish royalty. Dad, meanwhile, likes to make fun of that fact when we’re sick because his non-royal bloodline is never sick. Hahaha.

From the castle, we walked to La Reforma which is really just a pretty street with a fountain and sculpture. It’s alright. Grabbed an Uber back home and I left Mom to grab McDonald’s. Yes, you read that right…sometimes in Mexico, there is just too much Mexican food. Jajajajaja. Don’t judge me people – you know you want a taste of home when you’re not there.

For the evening, we put on our best clothes (well at least something a little nicer) and headed to the Torre de Latinoamericana bar. I know you can’t get “high” in Mexico City but we went up 41 floors! The views were spectacular and I think this made our bottle of wine stronger (well for some of us amateurs at least, ahem Mom).

Walking back to the hotel was an adventure but I got to see this little boy who belts out music at the top of his lungs while playing the guitar. Mom calls him my boyfriend because I always give him money. This time he smiled at me – the kid works hard for his money! The video is blurry but listen to him at least!

I had a nightcap at the hotel bar because I needed to catch up to Mom’s level. Sorry Dad for the drunk FaceTime:)
