And we’re moving on up…!

The day started off rather slowly and leisurely for me. Danielle, meanwhile was en route from Cesky Krumlov and I was to meet her at the hotel she booked for us using points. Side note, I had walked by the hotel a few days before and said to myself “holy $h%t, this is where we’re staying.” It’s right across the street from the State Opera house and it is beyond fancy. I’ll get to that in a minute.

I arrive at the hotel around 11:30a and inquire with reception on whether my friend has checked in or not (I’m using my fancy words because this place warrants it). He told me that she checked in not 1 minute before I did and he hands me the key to our room – 375. I take the elevator up and open the door to a suite. In fact, there’s a hallway and two rooms connected together – a sitting a room and a bedroom. We’re fancy y’all.

We decided to do the free walking tour at 2pm where we met up with Nicky, a girl I met from England who was staying at my hostel. The tour was great and we saw a lot of historical places – like the balcony where Hitler addressed the Austrian people after the Anschluss in March 1938. After the tour, we had drinks with Nicky and another girl we met, Kendra.

Some pictures from the tour.

I’m just happy to be traveling around with my best friend. The perks of using her miles is a plus but spending time with a familiar face is priceless.
