Officially 1 week left!

Today marks the official last 7 days of My World Tour Part 1. I’m excited to be home for a bit and take a break from all the movement I’ve been doing. I think I hit 12 countries these past few months and something like 20 different cities. It’s been a whirlwind but this is what I set out to do when I started this Adventure: SEE THE WORLD. Ok, so I haven’t seen all of it but it sure feels like I have.

I took a train from Sevilla to Córdoba since I had never been before. It’s got a nice Spanish vibe and I made some friends at my hostel. Sevilla still remains my favorite city but I could see Córdoba coming in a close second. The hostel staff are all really nice and there’s free Sangria at 8pm every day. Now that’s a nice, Spanish touch! I’m in a room with 3 other girls and everyone is friendly and polite. Those are the good kind of hostel roommates.

On the recommendation of Adela (front desk/reception), I walked towards Mezquita and the Roman bridge at night to take pictures of the skyline. It was so beautiful but my photos won’t do it justice. I need to learn how to take “night time” pictures. Note: I have not applied any filters to these photos. Truly spectacular.

Now isn’t that something?! I have a free walking tour tomorrow to get the layout of the city and it looks like there’s a lot of things to see here in this fascinating little place.

Oh, and I must be missing home more than I think I am…there is a store on every street with “Lola” in the name somehow and lots of cafes/bars with “Marta” in the name. The bars with “Marta” just beckon me in…how can I not go in?? (P.s. My mom’s name is Marta).
