Today was epic. Totally worth coming to Australia because I got to hold a koala!!

The hostel offers a free shuttle ride to Lone Pine koala sanctuary and I thought it only fitting to visit seeing as this is my last day in Australia. Definitely worth the entrance fee ($35 Australian dollars) and accompanying me were 2 nice guys from my hostel – Dan, the Englishman from Essex (anyone know T.O.W.I.E?) and Tanner from California who’s moving to Australia. We had a nice day touring the facility and I can say I’ve seen all of the typical Australian animals like emus, Tasmanian devils and kangaroos. I’m a bit disappointed that the kangaroos didn’t want to eat out of my hand so now I can add “getting rejected by kangaroos” to the list of bummers. Oh well, can’t win ’em all!
Evidence of my rejection (side note, I think kangaroos might be racist as they clearly favored Dan). Hahaha

The guys had fun posing with the kangaroos but I didn’t want to get dirty. That just means extra laundry to do in New Zealand tomorrow.

Overall, it was an amazing day and if you find yourself in Brisbane, definitely head to Lone Pine!
