I’m sure you’ve heard of the slogan “Virginia is for lovers” but what you didn’t know is that they also take your health down there very seriously. The bathrooms at the Manassas National Battlefield Park Virginia had public health/awareness signs that were a guide to help you identify the overall condition of your urine based on the shade of yellow (e.g. dark yellow = hydrate more). I’m fairly hydrated. Confident in my urinary health, I went through the Henry Hill visitor center before walking around the grounds of a Civil War battlefield. The weather was dark & stormy – the perfect weather for a site of the 1st battle of a dark & stormy time in our history. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

It wasn’t all doom and gloom since I got to experience a Cracker Barrel for the first time ever! I have seen ads for them everywhere but never had a chance to dine at one. Very southern. Very comforting. I could see myself stopping by again, especially if every restaurant has a gift shop full of unique things to buy. Cracker Barrel for the win.
